2022 THS Summer Solstice Celebration!

On Saturday, June 18, 2022 over 200 people gathered on the Toano Village Green to celebrate the beginning of summer with music, food, beverages, and friends! The weather cooperated, and the crowd enjoyed tunes by Joe’s Day Off while sampling the offerings of our food and drink vendors. We look forward to more community gatherings in the coming year.

The THS Board is pleased to announce that our Summer Solstice fundraiser raised $3,557.33.  The support of our members and community through this event will enhance the mission of the Toano Historical Society to inspire a sense of community spirit, promote interest in our history, and preserve our small-town character.

THS thanks our volunteers, vendors, and all who made the event possible. THS Board Member, Deidre McAuley-Hayes, did a wonderful job coordinating all the details that went into the celebration, and we are grateful for her hard work.
